Fresh Off the Workbench: A Bold New Evolution

Ever since I made it my personal mission in 2020 to answer the ultimate question - “Do they actually light up?” - my signature bugs have relied on the beautiful, delicate glow of glass vials and resin bodies. From amber bees to deep black gothic wasps, glass has been the heart of my luminous collection.

But if there is one thing you should know about life inside a whimsical steampunk world, it’s that a maker’s mind never truly rests!

As a creator, I am constantly tinkering, testing, engineering, and pushing the boundaries of neo-Victorian design. I wanted to see if I could bring an even deeper, more industrial grit to my wearable sculptures, and after weeks of experimentation, I am absolutely thrilled to give you a sneak peek at a brand-new mechanical species.

The Evolution: From Glass to Perforated Bronze

Instead of my traditional glass elements, these new mechanical companions feature solid bronze bodies engineered with a striking twist.

Using precise metalwork, I have crafted these abdomens with a series of tiny, exact holes running up and down the metal casing. It’s a design that feels entirely mechanical, heavy, and authentically industrial.

But the real magic happens when the machinery comes alive.

When you click the hidden switch on, the internal LED light punches directly through the tiny perforations in the metal. Instead of a soft, diffused glow, it casts an incredible, patterned beam of light onto your clothing, giving these little bugs an entirely new, mesmerising aura.

Be the First to Catch thIs Batch

These new bronze beauties are literally fresh off the workbench, and they haven't even hit the website shop yet. Because each one is meticulously handcrafted, this is going to be an incredibly limited, exclusive batch.

If you want to be the absolute first to know the exact moment these new companions drop - and explore the rest of my light-up jewellery collections - come join my inner circle!
