SAVE THE BEES | Small Steampunk Lightbulb Bumblebee Brooch | Handmade Upcycled Jewellery Pin

£24.95

Step into a world where Victorian elegance meets imaginative invention with this Steampunk Bumblebee Lightbulb Brooch. Inspired by the neo-Victorian sub-genre of science fiction, each piece captures the charm of a bygone era.

The body is formed from a spent torch light bulb, while delicate acetate wings and wire-wound legs bring the tiny creature to life. It secures easily with a sturdy brass brooch pin.

Available in a gold or silver colour, this miniature work of art measures approximately 3.5 cm in length with a 1 cm bulb diameter.

Whether worn on a lapel, hat, or bag, it adds a touch of steampunk magic to any outfit.

A must-have for collectors, dreamers, and anyone who loves jewellery with a story.

10% of the profits from this sale will be donated to The Bumblebee Conservation Trust via Work For Good.

Sadly, our bumblebees are in decline because of changes in agricultural practices that have largely removed flowers from the landscape, leaving the bumblebees with little to feed upon. Most UK species have declined greatly in recent years, and two have become extinct in the UK since 1940.

Fortunately, there is much that can be done to benefit bumblebees. At the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, they work to raise awareness of the plight of the bumblebee amongst the general public. In particular, they provide information about bumblebees and work with farmers to help them farm in ways which are sympathetic to bees.
